Introducing the LEMUR Stack and an Official NGINX Mascot Beginning in the 1990s, the LAMP stack established itself as the best-known and most-trusted method of deploying web applications. (LAMP is an acronym for Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP.) The model for developing and delivering modern web applications is more lightweight and streamlined. NGINX has become the web server of choice at the majority of popular websites due to its simplicity, high performance, and scalability.
